One of the things we often hear from our members is that they know or want to know how to cook healthy and tasty food. Many VillaMoms will also appreciate quickly prepared food. Here we are, opening our food blog for members. The first recipe is from VillaSport The Woodlands’ member and a mother of 4 children who has her own food blog – Nurzhamal Karymsakova.  “I wanted to create a page full of simple but delicious, easy and beautiful food choices that anyone can make no matter what cooking level you are at. One of my favorite veggie salads takes literally 5 minutes to do and is actually a recommendation from a good friend of mine – an avocado salad.”


Jama’s Avocado Salad Recipe 


  • 2-3 ripe avocados
  • 1-2 tomatoes or 10-12 grape tomatoes
  • 1 corn (not frozen, slightly boiled or warmed up in the microwave) or ½can of the organic canned corn (without liquid)
  • ½ bunch of cilantro
  • Dressing:
  • 1 pinch of salt, 1 pinch of pepper, 1 pinch of garlic powder
  • 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil



Cut 2-3 ripe avocados. Add 1-2 tomatoes cut in half-inch pieces or 10-12 cut in half grape tomatoes. Add corn and chopped cilantro and sprinkle it on top. Mix with salt and pepper, garlic powder, lime juice and olive oil. For vegetarians, this salad can be considered a full meal. It can also be a great side for your next filet mignon steak or grilled chicken.
