SAN JOSE, August 2, 2016 – The Bay Area’s resort-style health club developer –VillaSport –is breaking ground in San Jose on a 130,000 square foot health club and spa opening in spring of 2017. VillaSport San Jose will be located at 1171 N Capitol Ave just off of Interstate 680 and will create up to 300 jobs in the San Jose community. Based in San Rafael, Calif., VillaSport has initiated a major expansion effort throughout the Bay Area and Sacramento region. Following the San Jose facility will be four more VillaSport complexes in Redwood City, Mountain View, and the Sacramento/Roseville area.

VillaSport resort-style facilities offer indoor and outdoor amenities, including fitness and recreation swimming pools, cardio center, cable and free weight equipment, NBA hardwood court and a range of art, dance and fitness activities for kids. A full spa offers massages, facials, waxing, manicures and pedicures.

The resort amenities extend beyond fitness activities, with outdoor fire pits and lounge areas, comfortable seating areas with large-screen TVs and wifi, a separate adults-only café lounge and social programs such as wine tastings and ice cream socials.
