Important Notice
If your child’s name does not appear on the registration page, then the class is full. To waitlist for a group, please email the Aquatics Department with your child’s name and desired class time.
All purchased services are non-refundable and non-transferable, and alternate services cannot be substituted.
Sea Animal Levels group according to your child’s swim ability. Junior swimmers enjoy an innovative curriculum based upon water and safety skill benchmarks and fun.
Enrollment begins on the 7th of each month for the following month.
White Turtle
For the child who is afraid of water, cannot swim, or will not get his⁄her face wet.*
Focus: Trust and Submersion
Safety Skill: Always ask for permission before getting in the water.
Water Skill: Submerge while relaxed with assistance for 5 seconds.
Ages: 3 - 7 years
*Child must be 36 months old or have Aquatics Director approval.

For the child who enjoys water, gets his/her face wet, jumps in but can swim only with support.
Focus: Body Position and Air Recovery
Safety Skill: Put on a life jacket, float on back and kick 20 feet.
Water Skill: Jump in, submerge, recover for air, roll and lay on back (kicking and finning) for 5 seconds in both swimwear and regular clothes.

Focus: Forward Movement and Direction Change
Safety Skill: Reach and throw (DON’T GO) and know how to call 911.
Water Skill: Jump in, submerge, recover, move forward 10 feet, change direction and return to wall in both swimwear and regular clothes.
