At VillaSport, the safety and health of our members have always been our top priorities. It's even more important now, and we have implemented new sanitation and disinfection protocols and standards to further protect your safety and provide peace of mind when using the club.

 

 

 

 

Cleaning and Disinfecting Standards

To be the “cleanest club in the world” has always been one of VillaSport’s pillars. With the onset of COVID-19 concerns, we have taken our cleanliness and safety focus and diligence to an even higher level. We want you and your family to know you are safe in our facilities. Our three-pronged approach of cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting is now a vital part of every VillaSport team member’s role.

Cleaning – removes soil, dirt and debris from surfaces; lowers the count of germs by removing them from a surface, not necessarily killing them.

 

    

Sanitizing – kills a high percentage (99.9%) of microorganisms on surfaces to a safe level recognized by the EPA, but does not eliminate the occurrence and growth of bacteria, viruses and fungi.

 

    

Disinfecting – kills a higher percentage (99.999%) of microorganisms on surfaces to a safe level recognized by the EPA, and reduces the occurrence and growth of bacteria, viruses and fungi.

 

We clean and sanitize our club throughout the day, following CDC guidelines and local or state government requirements (see Club Department Protocols for specifics). We also disinfect at regular intervals during the day and complete an intensive, club-wide disinfection program overnight while the club is closed.

Member Safety and Wellness

Your cooperation and respect for others are vital to achieving our goal of a safe facility for all members. We ask that you please follow these important safety protocols when visiting the club, even after you have been vaccinated:

  • Please treat others with kindness and respect.
  • In compliance with the state’s revised guidelines, proof of vaccination against COVID-19 is required for ages 12+ to be unmasked indoors. Upon every arrival at the club, please provide proof that you have been fully vaccinated. If you do not, you must continue to wear a mask while inside the club.
  • If you are sick, including if you have COVID-19 symptoms, you may not enter the club. 
  • If you have been in close contact with someone who is sick, including someone with COVID-19 symptoms, you may not enter the club.
  • Individuals who provide proof of full vaccination are not required to maintain social distancing.
  • Check in independently with your VillaSport scan card or the VillaSport app.
  • Abide by all signage, markings, tape, area closures, and other social distancing designations.
  • Use hand sanitizer or wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds frequently.
  • Cough or sneeze into a cloth or tissue, or your elbow, and immediately discard used tissues.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Do not shake hands or engage in any unnecessary physical contact.
  • Limit towel usage to one of each type (fitness, pool).
  • Follow all other Club Department Protocols specific to fitness, group exercise, aquatics, court sports, etc.

COVID-19 Cases
If VillaSport is notified that a member or employee has tested positive for COVID-19, we will immediately:

  • Consult with public health authorities for then-current guidance at the time of the incident.
  • Review the situation (viewing security camera footage as applicable) and speak with the individual to determine whether they came within 6’ of anyone for at least 15 minutes while at VillaSport any time from 48 hours before illness onset to the time they began isolation. This corresponds with CDC’s definition of close contact.
  • Confirm the individual has reported their positive test to the public health department, who will then reach out and help them recall everyone with whom they had close contact during the timeframe while they may have been infectious, and then begin contact tracing by warning any exposed individuals (contacts) of their potential exposure as rapidly and sensitively as possible.
  • Although close contacts will likely be contacted by public health staff, if VillaSport is informed you meet the CDC’s criteria of a close contact, we will also endeavor to contact you about your potential exposure.

 

 

Employee Safety and Training

All VillaSport employees are trained in enhanced cleaning, sanitizing and safety measures. Each employee completes a special COVID-19 protocol online tutorial and participates in hands-on training. For the safety of children in our care, VillaKids employees go through an even more thorough training and testing program.

 

We provide face masks for all employees and gloves for those working in housekeeping, laundry and café operations. All VillaSport employees follow these protocols, even after they have been vaccinated:

  • Please treat others with kindness and respect.
  • If you are sick, including if you have COVID-19 symptoms, do not come to work. Contact the club.
  • If you have been in close contact with someone who is sick, including someone with COVID-19 symptoms, do not come to work. Contact the club.
  • Maintain 6’ minimum distance from others.
  • Arrive no more than 15 minutes before your scheduled shift.
  • Face coverings or masks are required except in the pools.
  • Use hand sanitizer or wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds frequently.
  • Use designated break areas only.
  • Abide by all signage, markings, tape, area closures and other social distancing designations.
  • Follow required cleaning and safety protocols.

As with our Member Safety and Wellness protocols, there are additional safety protocols in place for employees working in each specific club department. Training, re-training and regular reinforcement are provided.

 

 

 

 

Club Department Protocols

For the safety of all members and employees and to offer the most enjoyable club experience possible given our operating directives and limitations, we have implemented the following member protocols. Please continue to follow all protocols even if you have been vaccinated.

In addition to our general Member Safety and Wellness protocols, please note and follow these protocols specific to group exercise:

Group Exercise

  • Online reservations are required. Drop-ins are not allowed.
  • For class reservations, click here or use our reservations app.
  • Check in on our reservations app at least 10 minutes before class.
  • Only reserve classes you will attend and cancel reservations 24 hours in advance if your plans change.
  • Capacity is limited.

 

In addition to our general Member Safety and Wellness protocols, please note and follow these protocols specific to working out in the fitness center or with a Personal Trainer:

Fitness

  • Wipe down equipment before and after use.
  • Take one towel and drop it in the designated bin when you are done.
  • Place personal belongings in express lockers and wipe down after use. 
  • Only water in closed containers is allowed.

Personal Training

  • Appointments are required.
  • Wipe down equipment before and after use.
  • Take one towel and drop it in the designated bin when you are done.

  • Only water in closed containers is allowed.

 

In addition to our general Member Safety and Wellness protocols, please note and follow these protocols specific to visiting VillaSpa:

VillaSpa

  • Spa services are available by appointment only.
  • Spa providers will verbally screen members to confirm they have no COVID-19 symptoms and ensure they have not been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has any symptoms.
  • Prior to your appointment, use hand sanitizer or wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Spa changing areas, relaxation rooms, robes and slippers are available.
  • Spa providers will wear face coverings or masks.
  • Spa providers will clean and disinfect equipment and tools before use on each client.
  • After completing your service, please promptly leave the spa.

 

In addition to our general Member Safety and Wellness protocols, please note and follow these protocols specific to using the aquatics center and swimming:

Family Swim

  • Reservations are required.
  • Please book only one session per day.
  • Water play structures are available.
  • Children under 13 must be directly supervised by an adult.
  • Lifeguards are on duty.
  • At the end of your session, please promptly leave the pool deck.

Open Swim

  • Reservations are required.
  • Please book only one session per day.
  • No water play structures are available.
  • No lifeguards are on duty. 
  • Children under 13 must be directly supervised by an adult.
  • Capacity is limited.
  • At the end of your session, please promptly leave the pool deck.

Lap Swim

  • Reservations are required for outdoor lap swimming.
  • Please book only one session per day.
  • Kickboards and pull buoys are available for your use.
  • No lifeguards are on duty.
  • Enter and exit lanes on opposite ends.

Private and Semi-Private Lessons

  • Instructors will wear face shields when instructing non-swimmers in the water.

 

In addition to our general Member Safety and Wellness protocols, please note and follow these protocols specific to locker room use:

Men’s/Women’s Locker Rooms

  • Showers, restrooms, lockers, changing areas, and whirlpools are available.
  • Wipe down the locker handles, locks and interiors before and after use.
  • Please take one shower towel and deposit it in the towel bin after use.
  •  Saunas and steam rooms are not available.

Family Locker Room

  • Showers, restrooms, lockers and changing areas are available.
  • Wipe down the locker handles, locks and interiors before and after use.
  • Please take one shower towel and deposit it in the towel bin after use.

 

In addition to our general Member Safety and Wellness protocols, please note and follow these protocols specific to VillaKids:

VillaKids

  • The VillaKids rotations program is open.
  • Social and Fit PODs, camp days and Parent’s Night Out are available.
  • Online reservations are required. Drop-ins are not allowed.
  • At check-in, all parents must confirm that they took their child’s temperature prior to arriving.
  • Play tower will not be used during rotations.
  • All children’s activities allow for 6’ social distancing. 
  • Infant cribs are spaced 6’ apart.
  • Activities that involve sharing of equipment or toys have been eliminated.
  • All toys that are difficult to clean have been removed.
  • Checkout is required by the end of the specified time slot. 
  • Capacity is significantly reduced to ensure social distancing for all children.

 

In addition to our general Member Safety and Wellness protocols, please note and follow these protocols specific to the main court:

Main Court

  • The court is open when not in use for special programming.

 

 

Available Club Services

Upon reopening after the mandatory COVID-19 club shutdown, VillaSport is accountable for following all governmental restrictions, limitations and guidelines as dictated by county and state governments. These rules and guidelines are subject to adjustment at any time, potentially loosened in some areas or tightened in others. We will update our website with the current protocols as new guidance or direction is received from the county or state. Please check this page regularly so you are in the know.

Club-wide: We are operating the club following the capacity guidelines designated by the county and state. In order to stay within the maximum capacities allowed in different areas of the club, and to ensure people are able to maintain social distancing, we have implemented a reservation system for many programs and services that were operated on a drop-in basis in the past. For specifics, please click on your area(s) of interest below.

 

Group Exercise: All group exercise classes have a maximum capacity based on ensuring 6’ distancing among participants for everyone’s safety and comfort. For class reservations, click here or use our reservations app. As a courtesy to your fellow members, please only reserve classes that you will attend and cancel in advance any reservations for classes if your plans change.

 

Fitness: No reservations are necessary for general use of the fitness center, but appointments for personal training and Your Fit Plan are required. For now, these services are provided with Personal Trainers maintaining 6’ distancing throughout the appointment. Pools: Due to capacity limitations, reservations are required for Family Swim, Open Swim and outdoor lap swim. Reservation time slots are available, and you may reserve one per day. For swim reservations, click here or use our reservations app.

 

VillaKids: To keep children as safe as possible, we are following very specific protocols. Reservations are required and space is limited. Reservation time slots are available seven days a week. Team members clean and disinfect the spaces, equipment and supplies between groups. You may reserve one time slot per day. As a courtesy to other parents, please only reserve time slots that your child will attend and cancel reservations in advance if your plans change. VillaSpa: Given the close, personal nature of spa services, we have implemented safety protocols to protect and provide peace of mind to both clients and spa team members. Appointments are required; drop-in services are not available at this time. Please click the VillaSpa link to purchase a spa service or package and to make an appointment.

 

VillaCafé: Our indoor café is open and the menu includes your favorite items, including Fit Eats entrées, sandwiches, wraps, healthy snacks, smoothies and coffees. The outdoor café and bar are open on a seasonal basis.

 

Main Court: The main court is available for shooting hoops and practicing basketball skills (no pickup or team play) when it is not in use for special programming.

 

Locker Rooms: Showers, lockers, restrooms, changing areas, and whirlpools are available in the men’s, women’s and family locker rooms. Saunas and steam rooms are not available.

Membership: Can I initiate or extend a temporary freeze of my membership?

Yes. Please email or visit Member Services at the club with a request to initiate or extend a temporary freeze of your membership. No maintenance fee will be charged.
