Michael joined the VillaSport team in July 2022. With over 20 years of aquatics experience he has a plethora of knowledge that he brings to the team. He has coached water polo in the Roseville area for over 10 years, winning a section championship along with countless D1 athletes, multiple NCAA champions, and two Olympians - who he has guided through their water polo careers. A recent Sac State graduate with a degree in Kinesiology and a concentration in Physical Education Teacher Education, Michael brings knowledge as a teacher which has served him well as a lead in the Aquatics department. A former collegiate athlete and coach himself coupled with numerous years of managing, lifeguarding, and swim instructing, the Aquatics Director’s position is a natural fit.
In his off time, Michael loves to spend time with his son, teaching him how to swim, watching basketball games, and spending quality time with him. As a Los Angeles native, he loves to eat tacos and stays active by playing basketball, water polo, and working out. Michael also likes watching his favorite sports teams and going to on road trips. He has inspirations of attaining his Master’s degree in the coming year as well as setting his sights on moving up in VillaSport.
